CHICAGO CUBS BASEBALL IS ON THE AIR

Today's the day people.....time for my beloved Cubbies to do something more than the disaterous 66 wins of last season. Remember to keep your eye on http://goatriders.org for all your Cubbie news, notes and comments. The site has been newly updated and prettied up so make sure to check them out. And I'll leave you with this...my favorite song of the season

Baseball season's on the way
Well you better get ready for a brand new day
The Cubs are gonna win today

CHORUS
They're singing, Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
The Cubs are gonna win today
Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

They got the power, they got the speed
To be the best in the National League
Well, this is the year and the Cubs are real
So come on down to Wrigley Field

CHORUS
We're singing now Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today
Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today

Baseball time is here again
You can catch it all on WGN
So step your feet and clap your hands
The Chicago Cubs got the greatest fans

CHORUS
Hear them singing now Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today
Go Cubs go, go Cubs go
Hey Chicago what do you say?
The Cubs are gonna win today.

Sorry, you guys, but it's only the first game. There's always tommorow. Bring the hot dogs, Cracker Jack, and apple pie. Baseball is HERE!! WHOOOOOHOOO!

We have to get drunk and head to howl to sing that song with the pianists!!!

We should all hit up a game together this season. :)

What's the outlook for the Cubs this season? Any chance at reaching the playoffs?

Good to see your post about "Go, Cubs, Go" by Steve Goodman. He often doesn't get his due. Thought you might be interested in an eight-year project of mine that is coming to fruition -- a biography of Goodman that will be published in May. The book delives into the background of "Go, Cubs, Go," including how it was commissioned because Dallas Green wouldn't let him play "A Dying Cub Fan's Last Request" at Wrigley. Please e-mail me at ceals@comcast.net if you would like me to e-mail you a background sheet on the book. Or check my Internet site below for more info and how to pre-order, if you like. Just trying to spread the word. Feel free to do the same!
