This weekend in Chicago is one of those gray nasty winter slushy awful weekends where you realize that you are only in the first weekend of January and there are still probably about 12 to go. It's not cold or anything, just dank and dark and ugly out.
Jason and I went downtown today and stopped at the Borders and then walked around Oak Street Beach and I took lots of pictures. There was lots of floating ice islands that were fun to look at. We walked over to North Avenue and took to bus to Damen, stopping at Cheetah for a new class list as well as a parking permit for January. Then luckily a Damen bus was right there so we jumped on that and ended up back in good old Ukrainian Village.

I have to agree with you that the view from the lake is beautiful especially from the 12th floor where I work. Grey days suck. The sun needs to come out soon.
