Jason and I ran this race in 2004 and it was the first big running event that we did together.

I am really looking forward to another round on the Speedway and hopefully a good race.
In commuting news: we did not take our bikes this morning. I was just too tired and due to a maniac of a cat I was up at midnight, 2am, 3am and 4am and then finally got out of bed at 4:20am. We have a tempo run today so that might have been the best choice anyways.
In fashion news: I wore my new running clothes from the expo on the 4.5 mile run yesterday and although I wasn't sure about the Nike shorts that I bought I found them to be extremly comfortable! They are a nice bright orangy, pinkish color too so people could probably see me coming from a mile away. Always a good thing.
In Wrigley News : The Bud Light Bleachers? Are you fucking kidding me. The bleachers look great and then there is this big stupid sign that says Bud Light Bleachers. Totally ruins them.

Thank you! I completely agree about the bleachers! When I was up in Chicago this weekend and heard that news, I nearly spit out my drink. Thanks for the heads up on the book, I'll have to check it out. I've been looking for a good book lately.
Good training till Indianapolis half marathon!! Hope the weather let you train.
I'm quite bitter about the Wrigley Bleachers news. I'm doing the Race to Wrigley on the 15th and it just makes me so angry!
At least there isn't a sign that reads "This ivy brought to you by WGN..." or some crap.
susan-
it really is such a fun 1/2 marathon. There is so much entertainment along the way which is nice. However when we ran it in 2004, they had the big jumbo trons on in the speedway showing the lead people finishing...and we were only halfway! which was kinda funny.
jayhawk-
oh just wait for it. It can't be too far behind.
I know...the 'Bud Light Bleachers'.
Why don't they just name them the 'St. Louis Cardinals Bleachers'.
I hope a gang of Old Style drinkers rip the sign down.
haight-
i like it! you could totally do it in one evening...hmm i live really close by....
Sounds like a plan...but make sure you wear White Sox clothes...just sayin'
