30 Min Tempo.....or....

a nice 5 mile run.

Ok, the original plan was to run a 30 min tempo run yesterday and then 2 miles this morning. But as we were running yesterday I realized that the race is on Saturday and the plan we were following was plannning on the race being on Sunday...hence giving us two days off before the race. So we decided to combine those two runs together and run 5 yesterday and then take today and tomorrow off. It ended up being a great (!) idea because we had the best run yesterday. Pain free in the legs and just ran free and clear (like a cingular phone plan!).

This afternoon we head for my Aunt Donna's new house near Indianapolis, tomorrow we'll hit the expo meeting up with our friend Jon Phillips who is also running the Indy Mini on Saturday. He's planning for a 1:40 though so as far as the running with him in the race, we told him we'd meet him afterwards.

Stay tuned for pictures and stories from Indianapolis.

(oh and our car is making horrible noises when we accelerate.......this could be bad)

(oh and i'm really really nervous about the race. What if I didn't prepare enough? What if I go too fast in one of the early miles and ruin my race? What if I go to slow and don't run to my potential? oooooh the butterflies in my tummy are flappin')

Are you kidding? I think your prep was very thorough! Good luck in the race, you two!

Good luck in Indy this weekend you guys! I know you will do great, and I am really looking forward to the race report.

As for strategy I can't help ya there, I know nothing about the course. I always think going out on pace is a good idea, this can be hard with the excitement. From there just run on feel about 5-7 miles in, feeling good, go faster...try to finish strong.

Now go kick some ass! Oh and have fun.

I'm sure you and Jason will work with each other as far as the pacing goes.

Oh, as far as the 'rattle rattle thunder clatter boom boom boom'...you have some time to get that checked out...I don't want your pics being of a car on the shoulder of I-65.

Good Luck with the race on Saturday! I'm sure you will do great.

I'm running it also, but my only goal is to finish. So, I'll be the one at the back of the pack!

the car looks to be getting fixed. I guess it was a brake pads problem. Here's to hoping!
