This is from PhD comics one of the funniest sites for those of you in PhD programs....so many of the comic strips are so true and so funny. I mean they are funny anyways, but you really "get it" if you are in a physics program especially.

I have a book chapter proposal due at the end of this month ... and waiting on my co-author (already has her PhD) to get her part of it to me. I am on the verge of freaking out and this comic pretty much speaks about my life. Its a sad life indeed.
ahhh! so not what I wanted to see! I just submitted my final paper for my masters, and literally, this was the "guidance" I received in response to my questions about length and format:
"Andrea,
Long enough!
A little informal is ok."
It takes time to read nobel prize caliber work! hang in.
