uh yeah...now that weather.com, Tom Skilling, Accuweather and Weather Underground agree on the weather for Sunday I'm back to slightly stressed....
all have predictions of 84-87 and partly cloudy for race day. That's really really warm! Still time for it to change, but the surrounding days aren't looking good anymore.
Oh well.

But remember you will be running early in the day. Look at the lows and add maybe 10 deg. You will be done by 11:40 am anyway, RIGHT?
true....the low is 64 though, so looking at about 75 degrees......I don't know still pretty up there. the weather is always a risk in Chicago...but I wouldn't have thought 80 flippin' degrees was going to be the problem.
That's even a little warm for us Houston folk.
Fingers crossed for you, clouds will help. I think it will be fine, you are ready. Think positive. :-)
Bah! I'm worried about the weather too Leah and I've been training on days with highs of 100+ and crazy humidity, so from my perspective I think your concerns are founded. Too bad the race doesn't start earlier! I'm sure everything will be OK in the end though.
Three words - water and salt packets!
We'll try and send down some cool arctic air from up here! Unfortunately all that hot air coming from D.C. keeps getting in the way!
Monday's weather doesn't look too bad - it would certainly be preferable to the forecasts for Saturday and Sunday.
If it doesn't change, I'm going to have to kiss my secondary time goal goodbye; I have problems running whenever the temps get above 72-75, so it's already at the high end for me when the gun goes off.
I agree - no stress. Remember that is only the high. And, you know they are never right. When I ran in 2004
the weather prediction was the same. it didn't get warm until about the last 3 miles and I run slow so you would have finished an hour earlier so really you should be okay. Run your heart out and best of luck to both you and jason;
